Can I remove blemishes from a photo of me?

I have recently had some pictures taken by a good friend of mine, who is a professional photographer. Nothing was signed, no money was exchanged; it was just a good favour from a good friend. I was just wondering if there are any rules around ‘editing’ them? Removing blemishes, etc. I know I do not own the copyright and I do not want to break any laws.

There are no legal rules about editing photos for personal photos, such as to remove blemishes. Just get permission from your friend, the photographer (who owns the copyright), then you can do what you like.
