The Golden Gate Bridge

Nothing conveys more the romance of the Bay Area than the Golden Gate Bridge. Majestically leaping across the entrance to San Francisco Bay, the bridge (built in 1937) connects the city (behind) with Marin County to the north.

This shot is taken from the Marin headlands from an old gun emplacement called Battery Spencer. Conzelman Road winds along the edge of the headlands and provides several classic viewpoints.

My son now 23 was born at the Kaiser Hosp. in Marine County. That is a beautul shot. I was back in San Frabcisco March of 2010, and manage to get a few real nice shots of the Golden Gate Bridge. I grew up in Contra Costa County, but moved my family to Spokane in 1991.
