“I took some great travel photos. I want to make some into cards, calendars and other gifts for my family. How do I do that?”

What a great idea! Remember and share your travel adventures with prints and gifts.

Use a Photo Printing Service

An easy way to make prints and gifts of your photos is to use an online printing service. You can create large prints, framed prints, calendars, mugs, mousepads, tote bags, and many other things you haven’t even thought of yet.

Once you’ve opened an account, you can “upload” your photos (i.e. transfer/copy them to the site) either from a web browser or some software provided by the site. Then you can see what your photos will look like as different gifts. The sites will even mail the cards or gifts direct to your family and friends. This is how I make our Christmas cards.

Set Up An Online Store

Go one step further and sell your prints and gifts. Many printers will provide a Web page for you to offer your wares. You can easily set up a free or paid store, then upload your photos, pick the products you want to sell, and watch the business come your way.

Postcards

Now that you’re selling photo prints, you’re only a piece of cardboard away from selling postcards.
